Not as much progress to report here as I would like, but still progress. Two external factors and one internal have been waging on me.
- Work demands have increased. This is starting to recede already, and I am already starting to see increased activity on my part.
- Family activity- summer is just busy when it comes to working outside and being with my wife and kids. No way around it, and do not want to. The kids waking me up at all hours however, is costing some sleep which is effecting brain function. This will probably not change for a few years, and my major goal is to not need my job by next May, so will just have to fight through it.
- Internally, I sometimes have trouble focusing especially when I work hard on a design getting it right where I want it, and then I go to another page and it is all screwed up. This happened with my most successful traffic site, and to blow it up and start over. Oh well.
Traffic side-
All sites in my niche are seeing an average of 30 visitors a day organically between all of them. One is bringing in almost 20 by itself. 2 sites are on page one of google for a great keyword, and one is also on page one for another good one. Still looking to get the mother site to page one of google for the term bread maker. I know this will take much time and effort. All said, I am please with my results considering I have not done anything for about 2.5 weeks.
Money side-
Adsense: $5 This is not my target money stream, so it is just gravy at this point.
Affiliate: $20 This is where I am going to focus my next phase. I have held off on my posting and have been studying landing pages and conversions. The need to blow up the one site was actually a blessing because it helped me get started on this. This should also help increase traffic.
