I did it. Broke $400, cashed out my seed $200, and am now as I speak this up to $240 in my account. The technique seems to be working well. Now that I have my initial investment back, as I grow, I can increase my lots and start growing faster.
I encourage everyone to throw some money in a micro trading account and have at it. Simplest money I ever made.
No, do not open a demo account. There is no emotional tie to fake money, so you will act completely different. Open a real account. Put in real money, and start trading. Do not put in more than you can afford to lose. If you lose it, consider it the price of education, and refund the account. If you lose it again, just as fast, consider yourself unteachable and move onto something else. If you lose it, but last longer, consider it a cost of forex education, and refund the account.
People pay up to $100,000 to go to college and get an education. You can get an education which will earn you far more money if you learn for $100 to $200 at a time. My advice, if you get over $2000, maybe you need to consider yourself unteachable and move on.
Also, do not pay anyone for a system. Pay people to teach you the thinking behind the system, but do not give anyone your money to trade for you with claims they will make you cash. What have you learned if you do this?
Even if it is successful, how have you grown. Do it, learn it, trade it, repeat it.
Forex trading is a blast. If you like trading the stock market (which I used to), this is like the stock market on crack. From Sunday night to Friday afternoon each week, you can trade round the clock. It is brilliant.
