Ok, so maybe not a full smile. For those of you who are parents, you know those times when your kid is trying to act mad. They are trying their hardest to not to smile, but you get a small grin now and again just before they start laughing? That is where I am.
I have scratched and clawed my way back to the front page of google over these past ten days. Not quite as high, and the traffic has still not picked up to where it was, but it is heading the right direction. SEO is a patient man’s game, and I must be patient.
My earnings this month have just topped $100. Less than where I thought I would be, but still something I am proud of.
I have started paying for traffic. Doing some simple math, I realized that I can spend about $0.17 a click to get traffic and still make affiliate money. So this is where I set my adwords bid. My CTR is running around 7-8%, and I tend to get between three and four position in my placement.
My article writers have been lax lately in their speed of getting me articles. This has caused me to start doing some cursory looking for a new writers. Nothing hardcore yet, I just need better turn around.
Learned some new promotion stuff this week, working on them now. I often feel I should take a vacation day and just focus on doing this for a solid day straight and bang out some of my stuff on my to do list. But then I realize that my honey do list will probably attack me in that situation and I would be no further ahead than I am now.
Just like in SEO, in affiliate marketing the slow and steady win the day. I have a lock on slow at this point, steady shouldn’t be too far behind.
